Children: Amanda, Matt,, and Caleb
Wow, it’s been a long time and a lot of life lived. I moved from Oxford to Crystal Springs and graduated from there in 1969. I attended Co-Lin Jr. College and then William Cary College (University) in Hattiesburg. In the goodness of God I was directed to Summerville, SC. I met and married Ron Turner (We were married for 20 years and we’ve now been divorced 13 years.) and we had three children. Ron was a real estate agent and a mortgage broker and I home schooled our two oldest children. Our oldest child, a daughter, Amanda, graduated from Charleston Southern University and married her high school sweetheart. They have had 10 therapeutic foster teenage boys in their home over the past 9 years and their home is always full of teenagers. But no biological children. Her husband is a pastor and she is a magistrate judge. She plans to begin law school next year. Our oldest son, Matt, has had many struggles growing up but he is finally serious about life. He is a plumber and is beginning a new career by helping a friend establish a motorcycle repair shop in VA. Our youngest son, Caleb, is a junior in high school. He has “majored” in engineering while in high school and will pursue that career in the years to come.
After working in a pediatric office a few years, I have now been a ministry assistant at Crossroads Community Church in Summerville for 9 years. I am secretary to the pastor and also to the director of the ladies and children’s ministries. In my “off” time I am enjoying sewing – again. There are a lot of new techniques to learn. I also enjoy having a chicken coop in my back yard with 18 chickens!

A couple of years ago I was privileged to go to Kasese, Uganda for 16 days and work with ladies there – I loved it!. I hope to be able to go back again.
I won’t be able to attend the reunion because I will be visiting with a friend out of town.
I haven't been back in Oxford since I moved but as I looked over the names and pictures there were many good memories.
